Earlier this year, we had a chance to spend a day to Bali. Quite short time when we think about it, but who said we can’t have some fun? Illiyin team visited beach, plateau, city in Bali, all in just one day!
Driving at night from Malang and reached Banyuwangi at the morning, we were greeted by warm sunrise over the sea. We used ferry to cross the Bali strait from Ketapang Port to Gilimanuk Port. Soon after arriving at the Gilimanuk Port, we headed to our first destination, Menjangan Island. Menjangan Island is one of the most favourite travel destination which offers underwater panorama complete with snorkeling and diving spot. The scenery was awesome! We love it, but sadly didn’t bring outdoor camera to take pictures there.
Speaking about Bali as quite religious place, Menjangan Island also has religious temples Kwan Im Great Pagoda and 15-meters-tall Sang Hyang Ganesha statue.
While we took a walk around the island, we met the main resident here… but not human! Did you know that Menjangan means “deer”? Yup, we can find deers in Menjangan Island!
What a fresh beginning in Bali! Still have more time? Our team had a brunch and continue the journey to Buleleng. We came to Gunung Lesung where we can see Tamblingan Lake and Buyan Lake. It’s wonderful scenery! While we have good rest middle trip, we can also take pictures here. If you only knew the famous Bratan Lake, why don’t you come to this place and see a twin lake just like what did?
Considering that it was already afternoon and we wanted to find souvenirs for our beloved ones, we headed to Kuta. We wanted to watch sunset and enjoy the night atmosphere there. It took longer time to reach Kuta than we expected. However, we still have time to take a walk in Badung traditional market. Almost all tourist who come to Bali choose to shop for souvenirs in this area. We also visited Joger Bali, a production center for souvenirs. You have to come to this place if you visit Bali!
At night, we headed back to Malang and continue our routines the next day. We love Bali! We love the sea, the plateau, the city, and the people. What about you?
